PROCESS 3:
Weighing and Tagging:

ActivatorMail intelligently compiles the 'weights', or a list of all the tests failed, by each email message. With thousands of highly developed proprietary tests it usually becomes very clear whether an email is spam by its total weight acquired through this process.

This data is then added to the header information of each email message before delivery. This is called message tagging.

How to View Message Tags:

Email message headers tell a mail server how to deliver an email and are normally hidden from the user when he or she is using email. To view headers in Microsoft Outlook, for example, you must right click on a message title and click 'Properties-Details'. more info..

Because ActivatorMail message tagging is put in the hidden header area, it does not change the appearance or content of the email message.

Our tags reveal 'real information'; who really sent the mail, what server was involved, and even the paths of the email through the countries from which it originated and passed!

Avoiding Email
Fraud and Phishing Schemes:

Spammers and scammers routinely fraudulently edit email headers, so you cannot see who they really are.

ActivatorMail message tagging reveals who they really are to protect you from scams. For example, if someone is phishing for your PayPal password and account information, but they are sending the email from Anarctica, it's very likely it is not really PayPal making the request.

While ActivatorMail captures most fraud messages in its spam filtering, its message tagging may give to you an extra edge, so you may know more precisely who you are really dealing with.
